After you choose the perfect new table for your breakfast room or dining room, the final step to completing the décor of your room is to find the right table centerpieces. Tables are largely used for meals, but they can also be used for other things, such as to play games when you are entertaining or during family game night, for the kids to do homework quietly and more. When the table isn’t in use, however, you want to give your room a finished look by adding a finishing touch to the top. How do you go about finding the right table centerpieces for your room?
You can use a wide range of decorative pieces for your tabletop décor. It is often common to put either fresh or silk flowers in a beautiful vase in more formal areas. These may be accented by side votive candles in larger rectangular or oblong tables to fill empty space. Some people will choose to put floating votive candles or a large decorative bowl as the main decorative piece. Flower vases, candles and water bowls can be placed atop a beautiful mirror to add more depth to the décor.
In more casual areas, a bowl of fresh fruit may be placed on the table. Some people may choose to select all one shade of fruit, such as a tall, cylindrical, glass container filled with fresh limes or green apples. Others may mix and match fruit of various colors, such as throwing in lemons for a splash of yellow. Typically the fruit will follow the color scheme of the room.
Whether you are going for casual or more formal table centerpieces, a tablecloth or a runner may be placed across the table as well. These serve to protect the table from damage and also add an additional element of style to your space.
